Barbara, Helma, Darlene, and Dorothy —the Tetter Women. These incredible women embodied strength, beauty, and intelligence. Life can be hard, and not everyone makes it through without help, The Tetter Women knew this truth well. Their ministry was heart-centered and hands-on. Their approach was simple:  they served where needed, addressing life's struggles with compassion and resolve, armed with empathy, wisdom, and the fierce dedication of Mama Bears. They fed children who showed up on their doorstep hungry, helped a teen navigate an unplanned pregnancy, created a Boy Scout troop for their community and helped mothers navigate the red tape of social services that were needed for their family's survival. In communities of color that were too often plagued by unemployment, lack of healthcare, and inadequate education, the Tetter Women tried to change expected outcomes to exceptional ones.

This is the legacy of the Tetter Women: a legacy of compassion, resilience, and community action. We are honored to continue their legacy and their belief  that compassion and care for others have the power to transform the world.
